I’m a mother of three young children who are growing up fast – allowing me a bit more spare time so I began thinking about what I can do with it, considering opportunities to rejoin workforce. It was important to find something that balanced business with family with an emphasis on our local community.

I’ve always loved being around animals and Mollie, our adorable fur-baby, had recently joined our family. She’s a very fluffy Shih Tzu/Pekingese cross that needs constant grooming so I decided to learn how to do it properly and enrolled with a professional grooming Academy… I fell in love with it!

My partner Frankie sewed the seed to set myself up in the pet grooming business – I didn’t really need much convincing and things evolved quickly from there. It was also a no-brainer to include Mollie in some way – thus our branding reflects her.

We are fortunate to have a large garage in our home that already had a washroom, so Frankie set about converting it into Mollies Pet Salon. He’s kept enough room for one boy-toy and a workshop so it’s not all bad.
